All Decade #1 Man - Nick Hughes (2007-2009)

Highlights - It was as close a vote without it being a tie, but it is very easy to see why our panel of experts selected Nick Hughes as NRXC's #1 man of the decade with his now legendary kick to win North Rockland Cross Country's first ever New York State Championship at the 2009 Class AA championships in Plattsburgh, NY. He was the 2009 Rockland County Champion and Rockland County Cross Country Athlete of the Season. Add to that his two #1 times at Bear and Van Cortlandt along with the NRXC #2 time at Bowdoin and you have North Rockland's All Decade #1 man.
All Decade #2 Man - John Martinez (2001-2004)

Highlights - Two Words: All-American. John Martinez is the only North Rockland Red Raider ever to run cross country in December in a Foot Locker (formerly Kinney) singlet in San Diego or elsewhere. He was the very first All-American in cross country in Rockland County history with his masterful 14th place 15:44 effort in the 2004 Foot Locker Championships held at Balboa Park in San Diego, Ca. Throw in a 2nd place finish at the 2004 NYS Class State Meet and at the NYS Federation Championships along with NRXC's #1 time at Bowdoin Park (only Raider ever under 16 min) and you have our experts' pick for NRXC's All Decade #2 man.
All Decade #3 Man - Carlos Jamieson (2001-2004)

Highlights - Our experts' unanimous pick for #3 All Decade, Jamieson owns a top three time time or better at all three our the primary courses. A #2 time at Bear Mountain in 15:21.1 earned him the 2002 Rockland County Championship and Rockland County Cross Country Athlete of the Season. Jamieson is the only member of the All-Decade team to post two top 10 and one top 20 performance at the NYS Class AA Championships in three consecutive seasons from his sophomore year on. Jamieson was 11th place at the 2003 NYS Federation Championship.
All Decade #4 Man - Dennis Gutierrez (1999-2002)

Highlights - Gutierrez's performances stand amongst the elite of the NRXC All Decade Team. With top 4 performances at Bowdoin Park and Bear Mountain, Gutierrez is our choice for All Decade #4 Man. Gutierrez placed 10th at the 2002 New York State Class AA Championships in Sunken Meadow, but his dominating 15:28.6 at Bear Mountain at the 2002 Rockland County Championships sets him apart from all but two athletes on the Bear Mountain list.
All Decade #5 Man - Miguel Reyes (1999-2002)

Highlights - Miguel Reyes will be most noted for his clutch performances at end of the 2002 cross country season. Leading his team to a 2nd place finish at the 2002 NYS Class AA Championships, Reyes placed 7th in 16:43 at Sunken Meadow that year and followed it up with a top 20 performance at the Federation Championships. Reyes is #5 All Decade at Bear Mountain with his 15:36.8.
All Decade #6 Man - AJ Savoia (2004-2006)

Van Cortlandt - 12:58.5 (#4 NRXC in 2000's)
Highlights - An obvious choice for our NRXC All Decade team, Savoia has one of the only four sub 13 times at Van Cortlandt Park in this decade. An incredibly clutch performer, Savoia, then a junior, was Rockland County Champion and Rockland County Cross Country Athlete of the Season in 2005. In 2006, Savoia posted a top 20 performance at the New York State Class AA championships in Warwick, NY and a 39th place at the Federation Championship at Bowdoin Park.
All Decade #7 Man - James Naglieri (2007-2010)

Van Cortlandt - 13:18.9 (#7 NRXC in 2000's)
Highlights - Nicknamed "Nags", James Naglieri is our experts' #7 man for the 2000-2009 NRXC All Decade Team. With top 7 times or better at the three primary courses (Bowdoin, Bear Mountain and Van Cortlandt) and a strong 16:38.5 at Bowdoin in his junior year at the 2009 NXN New York Regional, Naglieri was a unanimous top 7 pick. As a junior, he was second to only teammate Nick Hughes at the 2009 Rockland County Championship.
