Raider 4x8 Relay Runs Seasonal Best at Ridgewood Games

Team Breaks 8:10 to Set Best Seasonal Mark; Vippolis Runs 2:00.0 in First Relay 800m of Season

Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - North Rockland's 4x8 relay ran 8:09 to win the 3200m relay at the Ridgewood Games held at RCC.  The team of Liam Purdy (2:02), Tom Landes (2:04), Taylor Vippolis (2:00) and Rich Bertrand (2:02) was the first time the four have ran together this season.  results continued

Vippolis Continues to Lead North Rockland With Two League Victories

NR Falls to Suffern in Race for Team Title 93-65; NR Edges South for 2nd Overall by Three Points

Super Speed...NR's Taylor Vippolis Has Shown Both Short and Long Sprint Speed in Winning the League 300m and 600m Races

 

Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - North Rockland track and field failed in its attempt to defend its League 4A title in the 2011-12 indoor season, but got an outstanding effort from senior Taylor Vippolis at the League Championships held at Rockland Community College.  NR was just able to muster 65 points in defeat to Suffern, who won with 93 points.  Taylor Vippolis won the 600m in 1:25.9 and later came back to capture victory in the 300m in a time of 36.2 as NR's only double winner.  Other NR league championship winners were Phil Lucien in the shot put (44-02.25) and the 3200m relay of Liam Purdy, Tom Landes, Mike Braunagel and Rich Bertrand.  results continued

Dibari, Vippolis Lead Raiders with Wins at Rockland Coaches Invitiational

Senior Vaulter and Sprinter Continue to Contribute; North Rockland 4th Overall in Team Standings

Taking Up the Mantle...Seniors Like  Dibari and Vippolis are Going to be Key in the Raider's Championship Stretch Run

 

Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - Senior Dom Dibari won the pole vault in 11'6 and teammate Taylor Vippolis won the 600m in1:26.0 to bolster North Rockland's scoring at the 2012 Rockland Coaches Invitational.  The duo's individual efforts accounted for 20 or NR's final tally of 32 points which was good for fourth overall in the team standings.  Arlington won the meet with 71 points.  results continued

LeMoine, Miklos Record Second Place Finishes at Dendy Meet

 

Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - Freshman Matt LeMoine recorded North Rockland's top performance at the 2012 Dendy Meet held at RCC with a second place finish in the 3200m run.  LeMoine ran a personal best 10:54.7.  Senior Jon Miklos contributed a second place effort of his own running the 1600m run in 4:51.4.  results continued

In a Jiffy...Sophomore Asaad Jeffrey Ran a Strong Second Leg to Help NR Win the Frosh/Soph 4x800m Relay at RCC

 

Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - Raider Taylor Vippolis won his second race in as many meets at the Pearl River Holiday Festival held at Rockland Community College.  The senior captured the 600 yards in 1:16.5.  Four other Raiders posted top five finishes at the meet: Tom Landes (1000y), Phil Lucien (Shot), Don Dibari (PV) and Damian Feeney (3200m).  results continued

Bernard. Dibari and Vippolis all Post Victories at Section One Kickoff

Trio of Seniors Win 3200m, 300m and Pole Vault as North Rockland Varsity Opens 2011-12 Indoor Season

Their Time...Seniors Like Brett Bernard and Taylor Vippolis Know NR Will Look to Them to Lead The This Year's Team

 

Armory, NYC - Senior Brett Bernard opened his 2011-12 track season by winning the 3200m run in 10:02.  Also in the race, Bernard's teammate, Damian Feeney, posted a personal best of 10:15.  Senior Taylor Vippolis got off to an impressive start as well with his victory in the 300m.  Dom Dibari recorded NR's third win of the meet by winning the pole vault.  results continued

RCC Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, Suffern, NY - Sophomore Liam Purdy posted a 10:02 3200m effort which earn him first place at the Frosh-Soph opener at Rockland Community College.  The 4x4 relay team of Jayson Bretton, Luis Lugo, Tarique Wilson and Janathan Raymond ran 3:55.6 for first place. results continued
